Prime Wireless Pro SoundBase

I'll be honest, I spent way too much time researching this purchase. Compared the Marantz, Denon, WiiM Amp Ultra... you name it. What kept bringing me back to the SVS Prime Wireless Pro Soundbase was simple: nothing else in this price range supports every streaming protocol you'd actually want. Google Cast, AirPlay, Spotify Connect, DTS Play-Fi, DLNA, Bluetooth, Line In, HDMI, Optical - it's all there. Every other option was missing at least one.

Been using it since November with Klipsch bookshelf speakers and an RSL Speedwoofer 10S MKII, and I still can't believe the audio this small device produces. Crisp, balanced, genuinely high-fidelity. If you're streaming music, do yourself a favor and enable Critical Listening Mode in the Play-Fi, app - it's a night-and-day difference.

And then there's the customer service. My original unit had an intermittent Google Cast mDNS issue and honestly, the audio was so good I didn't even bother reporting it for three months. When I finally did, the SVS team dug into it, tested thoroughly, and replaced the unit without any hassle. The new one has been flawless.

Only gripe? No previous/next track buttons on the device or remote. Minor annoyance for an otherwise stellar product. Already looking forward to the next SVS sales event to buy more.

I’m honestly blown away by this amp. It hits incredibly well even without my subs — the sound is clear, tight, and way more powerful than I expected. I was worried about not having a low-pass filter, but after a little tinkering with the SVS sub app everything came together perfectly.

I’ve always set my towers to “Small” on my receiver, and now I realize how much sound I was missing out on before. With the SoundBase driving them full-range, plus a bit of fine-tuning on my PB-2000s, this has become the best setup I’ve ever had. Considering how worried I was going in, the outcome is way better than I hoped.

After reading the reviews, and after using the PB-1000 Pro for almost a year on my home theater setup, I decide to purchase this. I have 2 old Sony tower speakers that I knew have some decent quality. I believe I got them in the late 90s, but while using them with a receiver as part of the home theater, I knew something was missing when I listened to music. For years I just dealt with that and eventually just watched movies.

This Soundbase with the PB-1000 Pro subwoofer brought back the type of sound I remember when I was younger when my dad had a Technics Hi-Fi system. Although I think the towers I have don't reproduce high fidelity, I am pretty happy with the result for now. You can really feel the punch when listening to music with this. I can't wait to get myself some SVS Prime Tower speakers in the near future; simply amazing!

I bought my Prime Wireless Pro SoundBase & 3000 Micro to replace/upgrade my office PC speakers. I was using the Audioengine A5+ & S8 sub, which are great speakers, but WOW this combo paired with Polk R100 bookshelf is many, many steps ahead in sound qualify & sound dynamics!
